How do you ensure your Water's quality?
Producing crisp, refreshing, great-tasting water is harder than it looks. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates bottled water products under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, which means we’re required to meet stringent standards for quality and safety. Crystal Springs of Alabama drinking water products meet or exceed these standards, something we prove in certified laboratory tests. Not just any water makes it into our bottles. We go through multiple, closely monitored processing steps to ensure every container meets or exceeds our high quality standards.
Federal, state and industry bottled water quality standards establish limits for microbiological, physical, chemical and radiological substances for both source water and bottled water products. Under federal Good Manufacturing Processes, only approved sources of water can supply a bottling plant.

What is a Refundable Bottle Deposit?
A bottle deposit is a fee charged for every 3 or 5-gallon bottle delivered to you (depending on your water plan, these typically only show up on your first bill). A bottle deposit is refundable and will be credited to your account as each empty bottle is returned.
What is your Refund/Return and Cancellation Policies?
Crystal Springs of Alabama is governed by the Food and Drug Administration – also known as the FDA. The FDA does not allow us to receive unused bottles or cases of water back into our inventory. However, should you be dissatisfied with the product we will replace it at no charge to you. The contract that you sign as you begin your service shall remain in force on a month-to-month basis and may be terminated by either party upon 30 days' written notice. At the termination of the service, the customer will return cooler(s) to the company in the condition delivered, except for normal wear. Customer’s final invoice is subject to a $20.00 charge that allows us to clean, test and repackage the cooler.
Do you use glass bottles?
As of this time, we only use returnable plastic bottles. Not only do they weigh less and are safer to deliver, but they are also recyclable.
Bisphenol A - BPA
On August 14, 2008, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a "Draft Assessment of Bisphenol A for Use in Food Contact Materials." In the draft report, FDA stated that the agency continues to consider typical exposure of humans to bisphenol A as being safe. Do you recycle your bottles?
Absolutely! This is partially the reason we can offer such high-quality water at an affordable price. When we deliver new 3 or 5-gallon bottles to your home, we pick up the empty bottles, which we sanitize thoroughly and reuse.
How long is the shelf-life of a bottle of spring water?
Our bottles indicate a "best by" date. Water should be stored in a cool (40 to 60 degrees), dark (away from sunlight) and dry (modest humidity-less than 50%) place. They should be as far away as possible from substances such as chemicals, detergents, cleaning supplies, gasoline, etc.
Our product is a natural product that contains no chemicals or preservatives. As a result, extended exposure to the sun can cause bacterial growth. To prevent this common and natural process from occurring and to maintain the quality of your bottled water keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and place in a cool, dry, chemical free area. If stored properly, water in 3 and 5-gallon containers has a shelf life of two years. Smaller containers, 1 gallon and 2.5 gallon bottles, are made with a thinner grade of plastic than larger bottles and have an optimal shelf life of about 6 months (but remain drinkable for two years). They have a shorter shelf life because they are more permeable to outside odors. Again, the key is how water is stored.
How can I be sure I have water for an emergency?
One obvious solution is to start home bottled water delivery service for your water. This ensures that you always have the purest water available for drinking through the year.
